SERVPRO can dry the concrete pad and prevent secondary water damage from circulating moisture by using temporary ducts (flat lay plastic).

Professional Commercial Water Removal In Boynton Beach

While storm season is here, experienced Boynton Beach business owners know that their facilities are also at risk from other sources. For many companies, agencies, and other businesses, there can be as much threat from faulty sprinklers, broken pipes, and other plumbing issues as from the next hurricane.

Boynton Beach commercial water removal requires trained technicians. SERVPRO makes certain every employee qualifies as a Commercial Drying Specialist (CDS) before going out on a service call. The training is important, so the restoration team can quickly clear out the water and help the owner reopen his business.

In a warehouse operation, hundreds, even thousands of gallons of water can spread across the floor. In a large enough operation, this makes the water level too low for the pumps a CDS usually starts with for water removal. With this type of situation, team members utilize a series of extraction devices.

For corners, offices, and under tables or machinery, they use wands. These hand-portable extractors are more powerful versions of a water-vac and can quickly remove five or ten gallons depending on the size of the holding tank in less than an hour. Larger versions of this device remove water damage slightly faster and pump it out of the building.

CDSs also have access to larger extractors that connect to the facility’s power or a generator from our equipment inventory. SERVPRO technicians can walk behind or ride on these machines designed to work on concrete or wood floors, and even industrial carpeting. Depending on the number of square feet to clear, team members can use several of them to complete the task in a day or two.

After finishing that final task, they measure the humidity level with a moisture meter. If the level is too high, CDSs set up fans at the doors and windows to draw the damp air out of the building. Once the meter shows a normal humidity level, the team packs up their gear and returns a clean, dry facility to the owner.
